I traveled to Belize in March 2016 as part of a Seminar Abroad opportunity that I completed at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities during the spring semester of my freshman year. We spent the beginning portion of the 8-day trip in Monkey Bay at a research facility within the forest and then relocated to spend the majority of our time on Tobacco Caye in the presence of 10 local residents and 2 research coordinators.
