Florida Operations & Education Intern
Dates: January 2020 - Present
Fort Myers, FL // Remote
Relocating down to Florida, I jumped in with the Operations team at the organization's training complex in Fort Myers.
I conjoined with my two managers as we took on all of the supporting responsibilities that allow baseball operations to grow our talent on the field. My strong relationships and efforts within the organization led to a unique year of wearing many different hats and jumping in with the Education team to support instruction of language lessons and programming enhancement.

Spring Training 2020
February/March, 2020 - Fort Myers, Florida
Working my first Spring Training was more than I ever expected. A fan's perspective has focus on the Major League roster; the big names gathering in Florida or Arizona for pre-season work. There is a lack of awareness when it comes to the other side of camp: the ~175 minor league players and ~100 minor league staff who are working just as hard for the future of the organization.
I am entirely grateful for the connections I made, the lessons I learned and the opportunities that allowed me to become so connected to the pulse of the organization's pipeline. SOME duties included:

- Academy rooming supervision, with continual revision players and staff moving in and out of the Academy housing
- Meeting preparation which involved arranging meeting spaces with the proper tools for staff to successfully execute meetings
- Organizing and cataloging all incoming mail for the 400+ persons on-site for Spring Training
- Utilizing Spanish language to provide assistance to Latin American players with banking, medical and equipment needs
Dominican Republic Game
March 7, 2020 - Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
I was lucky enough to be asked to join the team in traveling to the Dominican Republic in order to execute mascot inclusion within the event flow. Including T.C. Bear was a great opportunity for the Twins to promote their brand, and an even bigger opportunity for me to return to the Dominican Republic.
- Chartered with team personnel and players, as well as assisted with gear supervision and transportation from the airport to the stadium.
- Coordinated the desired brand marketing with the Community Relations team, and planned T.C. Bear's appearances and schedule with the MLB event coordinators.
- Ensured T.C. Bear's appearances at the pregame Play Ball event, pregame ceremony, and in-game fan activations.
COVID-19 Safety Adaptions
September/October, 2020 - Fall Instructional Camp - Fort Myers, FL
Due to the current health pandemic, the organization has had to adapt in many ways to ensure health and safety of players and staff.
Once the revised procedures and protocols were approved by the MLB, the Twins hustled to capitalize on the opportunity to get instruction time with their minor league talent. I was on site to help prepare and coordinate the Fall Instructional Camp logistics, which required adjusting housing procedures, food distribution, practice scheduling and more. Social distancing and routine health checkpoints allowed space for me to create content and utilize tools (examples below) to make our duties more efficient as we complied with the protocols.
